Phase I/Phase II
AquAeTer was retained by a commercial real estate developer to perform a Phase I Environmental Site Assessment (ESA). While conducting the site reconnaissance, it was noted that a portion of the subject property was utilized as a gasoline station during the 1950’s. Based upon these findings further investigation was warranted.AquAeTer was subsequently asked to perform a Phase II investigation utilizing geophysical analysis and confirmatory soil sampling. Geophysical methods including a magnetic survey and ground penetrating radar (GPR) were utilized to locate underground storage tanks (USTs) potentially located on the property from prior use. Upon completion of the geophysical survey, AquAeTerpersonnel performed confirmatory soil sampling with direct push drilling methods.
Upon completion of the Phase II ESA, AquAeTer assisted the real estate developer and their respective counsel through the regulatory process of a state voluntary cleanup and redevelopment program. Due to the client requesting a Phase I ESA early in their planning stages,AquAeTer was able to assist the client through the remediation process and move the site development forward as scheduled.
AquAeTer provided the following services to its client for this sampling and reporting project:
- Phase I Environmental Site Assessment
- Phase II Investigation
- Brownfield Investigation
- Geophysical Analysis
