human health and ecological risk

Questions related to actual or perceived environmental risk to humans or ecological receptors often influence property management decisions. We assist our clients as they consider the relative advantages and disadvantages of conservative Federal and State risk-based cleanup criteria as compared to criteria determined through site-specific risk assessment. AquAeTer engineers and scientists work to understand regulatory requirements and client objectives for environmental risk assessment and risk-based corrective action decisions. We provide monitoring of air, soil, and water, as well as, household dust, and exterior structures and equipment. Our risk services also include data analyses for subsequent risk-based modeling to demonstrate the "actual" risk from a potential exposure pathway.

Risk-Informed Solutions, LLC (R-IS), an AquAeTer associate, has expertise in high-profile risk analyses involving chemical and radioactive wastes. (R-IS) provides integrated approaches to radioactive and chemical materials and waste issues. R-IS, formerly known as Frank L. Parker & Associates, is a small business offering the experience of its three principals, Dr. Frank L. Parker (Vanderbilt University), Dr. James H. Clarke (AquAeTer), and Michael R. Corn (AquAeTer), in addition the the support of AquAeTer staff.
