On March 2, 2011, Christy Lewis, Director of Marketing & Communications for AquAeTer, volunteered at the CABLE Board Walk of Fame celebration at Lipscomb University in Nashville. Ms. Lewis served on the committee that is promoting Women on Corporate Boards, which advocates diversity in top leadership of Tennessee companies and helps lead that movement nationally. The CABLE professional women’s organization’s mission is to “connect women to opportunity” and the Women on Corporate Board’s Committee is dedicated to increasing board-level participation by women in Tennessee. This was the 2nd year for this event which was a huge success. 29 women were honored who serve on boards of publically-owned companies in-state, as well as women who live in Tennessee who serve on boards outside of Tennessee.
